Faculty

Dr. Marc Levine received his doctorate in violin performance from Stony Brook University, and his bachelor and masters in violin performance from Indiana University. A prizewinner in the 2008 American Bach Soloists International Competition for Baroque Violin, Marc regularly performs with prominent musicians and groups in New York City and Long Island. Marc is on the faculty at Suffolk County Community College, Stony Brook University, and the Music Academy of Long Island and has also taught at Indiana University.

Marc Levine

Dr. Andrea Yun completed her doctorate in cello performance from the University of Michigan, and her bachelors and masters in cello performance at Indiana University. An active performer, Andrea is principal cellist of the Saginaw Bay Symphony Orchestra and has served and principal of the Flint Symphony and Laredo Philharmonic in Texas. Andrea has taught at the University of Texas, Bowling Green State University and at many camps and Suzuki workshops in Michigan.

Andrea Yun

Dr. Tami Morse received her decorate in harpsichord performance from Stony Brook University, and her bachelors in musicology and masters in harpsichord performance from the University of Michigan. Tami is an active performer in the New York area, performing and collaborating with many internationally known historic instrument players. In addition, she is Artistic Director of the St. Mark's Early Music Series that brings period instrument groups to Long Island and is Project Director of the Islip Arts Council.

Tami Morse

Ms. Mary Stolberg studied violin performance at Columbus College in Georgia as well as Wayne State University. She has served as Assistant Concertmaster of the Savannah Symphony, and she has also played with the Grand Rapids Symphony and the Detroit Symphony Orchestra. She taught at William Tyndale College for ten years prior to sharing her talents with Steppingstone. As an accompanist, Mary has played with professionals from Aretha Franklin to Pavarotti. She has been a Suzuki instructor for over 18 years. She believes that her greatest accomplishment as a Suzuki violin teacher is being invited to play with several of her long-time students in the East Room at the White house, where they performed Vivaldi's Four Seasons.

Mr. Robert Phelps received his B.M. in Piano Performance from Oakland University in 2005. He is currently working on an M.M. in Piano Performance and a M.A. in Elementary Education with his ma

jors in math and science. During the past decade he has enjoyed a healthy piano studio, with many students who have been successful at the local and state level. Having competed in many competitions himself, he won the Young Artists Competition in Rochester MI and performed with the Pontiac-Oakland Symphony Orchestra in 2000.
